Wow! So powerful & long lasting. For me, just four sprays at a time will last over until late the next day. Just like Sophie’s other two (thus far :) fragrances you really get your money’s worth. Aphrodite is so cheerful; like Guerlain’s Coconut Fizz & Byredo’s Pulp had a baby. Impossible not to enjoy in the sunny warmer days. I was surprised that linden blossom wasn’t listed as a note. To my mind, Aphrodite is 65% a true natural ripe mango purée with a 10% splash of lime flower & a 25% blend of both dried coconut & coconut cream. And, the bottle is so, so pretty. I hope Sophie other fragrances will follow the look of Artemis & Aphrodite. So elegant yet modern. In a nutshell, summer perfect. I’m very happy.
Oh my word. Oddly maybe, it always puts me in mind of Coco Mademoiselle Intense. They are not alike. Artemis is more fruity & far more daring But, if you like rich, warm & vibrant fragrances such as CM Intense, & would wear them all year round too, then you’ll probably adore Artemis as much as I do. And this is silly really I know but when I smelled Artemis for the first time I choked up! I was becoming so bored & restless with my fragrances & my fragrance obsession in general. But Artemis snapped me right out of that. I would wear Artemis all year round with the exception of super humid, sticky days. It makes me feel confident & approachable, put together yet relaxed. It is very fruity & woody. To me it’s a peachy syrup with clean beech & pine woods. The lasting power gives you 100ml in a 50ml bottle, easily. And, as with Aphrodite, the bottle is a beauty. Thrilled with Artemis. Thrilled.
Boy is this fragrance STRONG! Two sprays, one front, one back, lasted me all day & into the next on my skin, & three days on my jacket. It will choke you out if you use your usual amount of sprays. Something I learned the hard way. But a coupe of sprays at arms length &,... Oh my word! Compliments+ Empress is so buttery smooth & sweet. It literally smells to me like salted caramel popcorn with strawberry drizzle. Perfect in the cold weather. Aside from Miss Dior Cherie & Montale Rose Elixir there really isn't anything at all that comes even close to Empress. Yet Empress has none of the sharpness of those two. Empress is sweet & warm from the off. Avon's Far Away Rebel & Diva has an element of Empress, but just in the popcorny cosiness. I’ve a full bottle & a travel size of all of Sophie’s fragrances now & love them all. Empress is my second favourite. Not keen on the bottle though. It looks unfinished & (hate to say it) kind of cheap. Don’t like the lid or the overly long neck of the bottle (the other two bottles are beautiful!). But with the fragrance itself, especially with the clean & cruelty-free credentials, I’ve no regrets whatsoever & will certainly buy it again. It’s a treasure. Well done, Sophie!
Sophie recommended I try her Aphrodite perfume as it's similar to another fragrance I like. Really like Aphrodite, it's quite soft, creamy and cosy scent, lasts for ages too. Will definitely order a bottle in time for the summer. Thanks Sophie!
This perfume is very good overall, the projection and the sillage is amazing for a fruity perfume. So very good value for your money. Unfortunately there is a note I don’t like in it. Maybe it is the lotus or the palm leaves which is a bit acid to me. A flanker with only mango and coconut would be perfect but I’m dreaming 😊 Anyway, could be a summer hit for some of you, just try it!
