Empress Eau de Parfum Intense Sample 1.5ml

Smells different to any other perfume in a very good way. Beautiful scent and a must have.

I'm generally sensitive to patchouli, so I was afraid of this one the most, but actually I like it more than Artemis. I get all of the notes except the wild strawberry (can be the current weather), and yeah I can see the resemblance with YSL Mon Paris and other designer patchoulis, but the popcorn here really makes it unique (I seem to go noseblind to the popcorn fairly quickly though). And the bottle is stunning too. Designer but better - more complex, more interesting, longer lasting. Thank you Soki! I'm definitely picking up a bottle at a good sale

Aphrodite is still my #1 between the three, though.

Is it blind buy safe? Judging by what I've read, probably not. Is it worth a try? Definitely.

Love the strawberry in the opening, but I see why it may not be everyone's cup of tea. I like it. Dry down is a familiar patchouli such as Coco Mademoiselle, Miss Dior 2012 &Florence by Roberto Cavalli. It lasted on my skin for 10+ hours. Very impressed! I think if you are interested in a patchouli perfume, you should try a sample if this first. If I did not own a bunch of patchouli perfumes, I would buy a full bottle. Maybe in the future but for now I will enjoy my little sample!

She popped off

Man, I love the dry-down of this perfume so much. It reminds me of "la petite robe noire intense", one of my favourite perfumes, that was sadly discontinued. So I was really happy to find a perfume that reminds me of what I like in it. Sadly I don't really like the opening of empress, the patchouli in the beginning hits really harshly for me. It takes about an hour to develop into that scent I love. But better to dislike the opening and love the rest than the other way round, especially because this perfume lasts really well. I get way more time with the scent I like than I do with the one I dislike. My sweater still smells of this gorgeous dry-down and I don't even remember when I sprayed it. Also I wanna say I'm so happy Soki's fragrances are peta-certified animal test-free and vegan. I don't think I ever had a certified vegan perfume before, so this is such a plus over other perfumes.
